Analyse and challenge

We need to be willing to challenge the status quo and seek better ways of working and making a positive contribution. However, to do so, it’s necessary to analyse information, understand the context, and draw upon a range of perspectives and insights. You should value contributions for improvements and new ideas from all.

Make mistakes and learn well

Innovation is a trial-and-error process and to progress, we need to allow teams to experiment and safely fail. This requires a framework for testing and learning. There is much to learn from mistakes, but to do so requires courage, self-awareness, and compassion.

Explore the unknown

We need to create space and time for the exploration of diverse ideas. For this, we must maintain an open mind and welcome challenge and change. Leaders also should ensure that they take a visionary perspective and consider longer-term possibilities and prepare for the future.
